So I finally got my boots back. They rock. I love having zippers, it means I can take my boots off all by myself (even when they fit properly). Usually when you get a pair of riding boots that fit right, you cannot, for the life of you, get them off. It requires at least one other person to pull, and then sometimes a 2nd to sit on your lap if the first person is dragging you across the floor or out of your chair. It is hilarious to watch but a pain in the but when you don’t have another person available. Bootjacks are horrible, they work, sort of, but you wind up hurting yourself (or at least I do usually). So needless to say zippers are amazing.
I rode pony again today, in my boots, and my legs felt a lot more normal (not so much of the moving stuff). She was still a bit difficult today but she could just be in season (not only does it make some mares act nuts [which luckily pony doesn't] but it can also give them things like back pains, soreness, and general discomfort [think a girl on her period]). So since she’s still learning to be a little more accepting it’s understandable that her discomfort would cause her to be a bit difficult. But she was better from the day before so that’s good.
Anyways, I’m exhausted.
Much Love,
